#100days100scenes: more than puppy love

Indian cinema has used doves as Cupids to deliver love messages , elephants who remember and seek revenge by wreaking havoc in the enemy camp , parakeets and eagles who were primitive early warning systems for the heroes and monkeys who perform mundane  human tasks like driving a car without much sweat.  This created a mini industry where the dates of some of these animals had to be booked in advance compared to the heroes

Although it was coined that dog is a mans best friend, even this saying falls short when you are describing the most iconic heroes of Indian cinema... wonder dog Moti ..when the only dog Indian knew of was a Doberman , Moti was the superman of dobermans... his eyes could outdo the acting skills of any average hero.. His ability to be faithful to his master was exemplary, his loyalty unflinching as a steward of the Queen ..with the speed of a leopard and genetic doggedness he could shift gears in an outside environment to chase goons..

In a movie called 'Teri meherbaniyan' ,wonder dog Moti came close to being the only dog who was considered as a nomination for the Filmfare bests actor award .. The second half of the movie was a four legged fight between the villains who killed Moti's master ,the honest police inspector...

In this heroic scene wonder dog Moti attends the funeral of his master , garlands him ,emotes through his eyes showing pain, anguish and determination and vows revenge...in a hero less second half, a spirited animal shows the way...Even Dharamendra stopped calling someone kutte after watching this scene...Teri Meherbaniyan the song is to all animals who served loyally
